A third-generation pastor, grew up in Phoenix, received undergraduate and graduate degrees in South Carolina and Wisconsin, and has served in full time local church ministry since 1985. After nine years as senior pastor of a bilingual inner city church, he, his wife Joyce and their 4 children answered God’s call to plant a new church in the Phoenix metropolitan west valley. The visionary for our ministry, Dick’s passion is that Westpointe be a worshipping community where God is exalted, a witnessing community where our neighborhood and world are evangelized with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and a working community where the family of God is edified and equipped to serve. He has a special place in his heart for Christian education and missions, and serves on the boards of Tuition Organization for Private Schools, Mission Gospel Missions, and Southwest Baptist Missions. Our pastor is an avid Phoenix Suns, AZ Diamondbacks, and Arizona Cardinals fan.
